Banana Town is a new slot game that was released by Relax Gaming. From the title, you can clearly tell that the slot borrows its inspiration from the delicious banana.
Relax Gaming went further with this theme and they incorporated it in the arcade-style design. You can see monkey characters in the symbols, and this is my honest review of this 8-bit style graphic’s slot:
The design concept here is quite interesting, and you get a Pay Anywhere engine that relies on 6x5 reels. For the features, we get to work with things like cascading reels, Scatters, and free spins among others.
Placing a real-money bet in Banana Town is pretty simple and all that you are required to do is select the amount that you are comfortable wagering per spin.
The betting range is between $0.10 and $50 per spin, and you can expect a top payout of up to 10,000x the stake. When using the MAX bet amount, this could mean a $500,000 jackpot from a single spin.
Banana Town is high in volatility, but the slot also offers a decent RTP of 96.12%.
As earlier mentioned, the slot comes with 6x5 reels that play host to 30 symbols. These are the ones that you will use to form winning combinations via the Pay Anywhere system.
All same-type symbols are considered regardless of where they land on the reels. With at least 8 symbols present, you will get paid.
Banana Town relies on the cascading reel's mechanism, which removes the winning icons, and replaces them with new ones. This process only stops when there are no more new wins, and therefore, it’s a mechanism that can allow you to trigger lots of wins within the same spinning round.
The Dollar Sign will serve as the scatter, and with at least 3 appearing on the reels, you will be rewarded with up to 8 free spins. While in the free spins mode, any new Dollar Sign that appears will come with an additional 1 free spin.
The best part about the feature is that the multiplier value will not reset in between spins. It will maintain the same value until the end of the feature.
Banana Town has a look similar to an 80s arcade game. Its 8-bit graphics tell a story relating to monkey mobsters.
Don is busy smoking a cigar while relaxing on the balcony of his house, while two monkey guards watch the door. On the reels, you get a large game area with various symbols that include bananas (red, blue, yellow, and green), and four regular monkeys, not to forget the Don (top symbol).
From my experience playing Banana Town for real money, I can say that the slot is very enjoyable, and you will love it more if you are a fan of the retro design style.
