Iron Dog Studios has not been left behind and the developer has joined the craze of the Megaways mechanic.
This mechanism was invented by Big Time Gaming, but in the lasts couple of years, they have licensed different developers, including Iron-Dog.
The Pirate Kingdom is the title that the developer has given this Megaways slot, and after trying it out, here is my detailed review:
The Pirate Kingdom relies purely on the Megaways mechanic, which means that its capable of offering as many as 117,649 combinations, on its 6 reels.
Its mix of features includes free spins, Cascading Reels, and multipliers.
The betting range is between $0.20 and $20 per spin, and this one will go into activating all the available ways to win.
Like other games in this genre, Pirate Kingdom Megaways offers great potential when it comes to payouts, and it’s possible to get wins of as much as 10,000x total stake ($200,000).
I was satisfied with its RTP of 96.20%, which serves it well, considering that the slot is medium in volatility.
As a Megaways slot, each round will come with a random number of combinations. On each of its 6 reels, you can get between 2 and 7 symbols each, which translates to about 117,649 ways to win.
With the Cascading Reels, a new batch of symbols will come by, which will mean additional prizes.
The Pirate Kingdom offers two types of wilds, a regular one that appears only on the slot’s last five reels, and another with a 2x multiplier.
The slot’s free spins will have Cascading Reels, alongside some multipliers which will increase with each new wave. The good news with this multiplier is that it does not reset, neither does it have a limit. Additional free spins will come via four Anchor symbols or the Bonus Buy option.
Locked Reels are present during free spins, and if you land a reel containing 7 symbols in a single spin, the following features will always get the same number of symbols. If one is locked, the multiplier will increase by 1x.
The pirate theme remains incredibly common among modern slot developers. It’s a story that never seems to age, and you can get a lot of goodness from a well-designed slot.
I do appreciate the effort that Iron Dog made has applied on this video slot, and especially the features and great symbols.
The low-value symbols are represented by Royals, while high-value ones have male and female pirates, anchors, treasure chests, and a wheel belonging to a ship.
Pirate Kingdom Megaways does not differ much from the other slot machines that use the Megaways concept.
However, Iron Dog has added a few unique features like the Locked Reels, which make it a very interesting game.
If you love the Megaways mechanic, you will definitely enjoy playing this game.
