The damp jungle scenery, plus the entire set-up of Primate King take us back to Monkey Island, the home of the computer game franchise.
This is my unbiased review about Primate King slot machine:
Primate King is a 5x4 reels slot title that offers up to 30-win ways. It also has some very interesting features that include Increasing Multiplier, Symbol Removal, Sticky Wilds, Multiplier Wilds, Random Multiplier, and Stacked Wilds.
The Primate King slot machine by Red Tiger Gaming is one of the best-looking video slots I’ve seen. But that doesn’t mean it’s not without its flaws.
The math model, for example, has some serious glitches and can cause players to lose their money more quickly than they should.
Personally, I have seen bad games from this developer, but by far, this is the worst of them all.
The least amount that you can use to spin the reels is $0.10 while the highest is $10.
As is the case with most Red Tiger slot games, this one is highly volatile, and its top prize is not attractive for real money players. The RTP of 95.66% does not help much.
Random symbols are among the available features, and they usually land attached to some small gold coin icons. Later, these will go into an Upgrade collection meter that is visible on the right-hand side.
The meter has 3 tiers that influence how the wilds land:
Tier 1 – transforms the regular primate wild (1x1) into a fully stacked wild (1x4).
Tier 2 – gives a random multiplier to the available fully stacked wild.
Tier 3 – turns the multiplier wild reel into sticky for.
Each time you land a primate wild and fail to land a win, you will likely trigger the Primate Smash feature.
I noticed that a gorilla smashes the reels and gets rid of all low-value symbols, and thereafter, these gaps receive premium symbols. This is one of the features that I enjoyed on this slot because it comes with a guaranteed win.
It’s obvious that this slot is jungle-themed, and Red Tiger has given it several symbols that revolve around the theme. They include Skulls, Compass and a Chest.
Red Tiger has tried to offer a decent slot but the lack of a proper bonus round is not something that might sit well with most real money gamers.
Additionally, the below-average RTP, high volatility, and low payout potential make the slot suitable for casual gamers.
