The massive deal was paid for in cash and is set to greatly boost IGT's portfolio to almost double its current size. The sale deal was closed earlier in the year.
It is a deal that will see IGT expand its current game portfolio to include other games. This could bring in an additional 225 exclusive games.
Additionally, IGT will also be allowed the opportunity to distribute third-party games across its client base, following this new acquisition.
Another advantage of this acquisition is that it will assist IGT to gain access to iSoftBet's modern data-based marketing as well as user engagement tools.
Overseeing this new digital shape, Vince Sadusky, IGT's CEO, said, “The acquisition of iSoftBet will provide market-tested proprietary digital content, advanced game aggregation capabilities, scalable promotional tools, analytics and strong creative talent to IGT's PlayDigital operations.
This will enhance PlayDigital's competitive capabilities with a proven, complementary content portfolio across Europe and North America as we provide best-in-class games and technology to our fast-growing iGaming customers”.
